Our Story
Masonry Runs in the Family.
SD Masonry has been a family company since 1998 — but the story starts a little earlier, and a little further south. Miguel Sanchez learned masonry after coming to the United States from Mexico, getting his start in the trade in Atlanta alongside his brothers. He and his eldest brother eventually made their way to Charlotte, where the family built SD Masonry into what it is today.
Miguel has owned and run the company for about 15 years now, and brings more than 25 years of hands-on masonry experience to every job. That time in the trade taught him a few things worth keeping: do the job right, show up when you say you will, and treat every customer's property like it's your own. That's how the company earned its reputation, and it's how we still work today.
Today we run a full crew based out of Indian Trail, serving residential and commercial customers across all major masonry services — from custom brick and stone homes to concrete, foundations, retaining walls, and custom fireplaces. Our crews are bilingual, and we're glad to work in English or Spanish.
